Custom Tailored

As implied by the name, custom made curtains are individually measured and made curtains to suit your specific needs. Hundreds of top quality fabrics are available for you to choose from guaranteeing that you will find something to perfectly complement your existing colour scheme or individual taste. Many of our curtain designs will also mix and match with our available blinds to maintain continuity throughout your home without compromising on style.

We like to sit down one to one with our customers to discuss the type of fabric most suited to your needs (e.g. thermal backed fabrics). We will also discuss the desired overall effect or style you wish to create in a room and what types of colours and/or designs will lend themselves to achieving this, such as the use of warm colours to add warmth and cosiness to a room. Once a general requirement has been established, we will show you an appropriate selection of fabrics from the vast range we have available and help you find the perfect fabric to suit your needs. At this stage in the design consultancy process, we can also offer options for the most appropriate curtain fittings to suit your selection and your budget, and can offer a range of other soft furnishings to match or compliment the overall look of the decor.

Consultation can be carried out either in our studio in Huonville, or we can visit your home for a free measure and quote.

All of our custom tailored curtains are manufactured in our purpose built machine room and studio which is manned by two full time, highly experienced machinists. This ensures your curtains will be made and delivered to you promptly. As the owner of Timeless Design, I like to personally see to the fitting of your custom tailored curtains, ensuring the highest quality of service is maintained and that you are delighted with the end product.

Ready to Hang Curtains

For clients not wishing to use our custom tailored curtain service, we also stock a wide range of quality pre-packaged, ready to hang curtains from leading manufacturers such as Nettex and Filligre. We keep a stock of standard sizes in our studio which clients can take home and hang themselves on the same day. If you require a size that we do not carry in stock, we can order it from the manufacturer.

We carry a broad range in various colours and designs to suit most interior styles and will happily offer advice to make your choices easier. We also carry a variety of fabrics in our ready to hang range of curtains, so that if you require thermal backed curtains we will have something to suit.

Tie Backs

Tie backs provide a professional finish for curtained windows, pulling the curtain away from the window during the day and framing the view outside of the window beautifully.

Most of our tie backs are manufactured in our own machine room and studio to the highest quality, and fabrics and tassels can be chosen from our wide range of samples in a colour and fabric to match both your curtains and your individual taste.

Fixing tie backs onto the wall is performed with care by our trained, professional fitters to ensure you will be satisfied with the result.

Pelmets

Pelmets are a wise purchase for Tasmania's climate, as they not only offer a superb finishing effect to a window, but will also prevent cold air from entering the room far more effectively than a curtain alone by simply 'capping' the top of the curtain.

We can offer our clients a wide range of fabric choices in various colours and designs to suit your individual decor and taste. All of our pelmets are custom made in various styles, for example, valance style (where the pelmet drapes down like on a bed) or "swags and tails" (where the fabric is arranged in broad sweeping swoops). Our pelmets can also be either hard or soft depending on your style preference.

Once you have chosen a style and fabric for your pelmet, we will custom make the pelmet in our dedicated machine room and studio at Huonville to your individual measurements, and once completed our trained, professional fitters will install the pelmet to your walls to ensure you are completely satisfied with the result.

We carry an extensive range of fabric samples and books from various, top quality fabric designers and manufacturers which you are welcome to browse through at your leisure in our studio showroom.
